Our Founder
Dr. Shavona L. Whitehead, affectionately known as Dr. Von, is a visionary leader, pastor, teacher, and servant of God who is deeply committed to the work of healing, restoration, and transformation. Her life’s mission is to fulfill the will of God by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping individuals to walk in wholeness, purpose, and freedom.
Dr. Whitehead holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Coppin State University, a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary, and an earned Doctor of Ministry degree in Social and Environmental Justice from the Interdenominational Theological Center and Morehouse School of Religion. Her academic foundation, combined with her spiritual depth, allows her to minister with both wisdom and compassion across diverse spaces.
Throughout her journey, God has entrusted her with the privilege to serve in various leadership capacities within both ministry and the marketplace. She has traveled nationally and internationally ministering in London, Paris, the Bahamas, St. Thomas, Barbados, Brazil, and across the United States sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and witnessing lives transformed by His power.
Dr. Whitehead carries a servant’s heart and a deliverance anointing, and she remains fully yielded to the assignment God has placed on her life. She is the founder and visionary of Restoration City: The Tabernacle of Healing and Restoration, a ministry committed to creating sacred spaces for healing, rebirthing, restoration, and resurrection.
Passionate about growth and excellence, Dr. Whitehead continues to sharpen her gifts through ongoing training and development to ensure her impact in the Kingdom and the world is both intentional and transformative. Her commitment is unwavering to serve God’s people, love the community, and build a house where healing is prioritized and lives are restored.
